4.6 magnitude earthquake occurred in Bugad soum of Gobi-Altai aimag at 5.23 am on July 7.
The Altai branch of the Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics reported that the earthquake was recorded 143 km to the southwest of Bugad soum. The previous occurrence was a 3.6 magnitude earthquake 126 km to the southwest of the soum at 8.20 am on June 30.
Earthquakes between 3.6-5.8 magnitude have been consecutively recorded in the soums of Erdene, Jargalan, Biger, Tonkhil, and Bugat in Gobi-Altai aimag in 2020.
