New Ethics Code for Tour Guides in Mongolia

The Capital City Tourism Department, Mongolian Tourism Association, and the Mongolian Professional Tour Guides Association signed a memorandum of cooperation on June 3 to develop tourism in Ulaanbaatar and support private public partnerships.

Under the memorandum, the sides will cooperate to upskill tourism workers, train professionals, exchange information regarding the industry, conduct studies and surveys, and organize public events.

They also will jointly implement the code of ethics for tour guides that has been introduced in Ulaanbaatar for the first time. The set of principles and requirements for tour guides is expected to contribute to the development of tourism industry.
